About the Logo
The Lions logo was designed with both the past and future in mind. The name of the team recalls the only professional hockey team to represent Trois-Rivières. The Lions played in the late 1950s and saw the debut of several local players, including former Canadiens Léon Rochefort. Now, a new chapter of Lions is born. This renaissance was built by giving a voice to local people, and defining four major components of our brand's identity:
FLEUR DE LYS
The proud Québécois identity of our team is what defines us. What better symbol than the fleur-de-lys to display our colours?
THE TORCH
Whether it is the one that represents tradition among the Montreal Canadiens or the one that refers to the iconic monument of Trois-Rivières, the torch represents the passion that drives us.
METAL
Ironworks has always been part of the history of the Mauricie. At the heart of the Forges du Saint-Maurice, it is the work of local people that has forged the population’s importance in Quebec history. It is a core part of our DNA.
HISTORY
Since its founding in 1634, Trois-Rivières has defeated the Americans in battle, survived the flames and braved the rivers, always coming out stronger. It is this determination that can be read in our eyes and it is Laviolette's style that persists in our moustache.
