Position Title: Certified Athletic Therapist
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Employment Status: Full-Time Position
Work Location: Colisée Vidéotron, Trois-Rivières

POSITION SUMMARY

The Trois-Rivières Lions, a professional ECHL hockey team, are seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Therapist for the 2026-2027 season. Candidates must be bilingual and possess proven experience working in high-level hockey.

This full-time position requires a flexible schedule based on player availability at Colisée Vidéotron, as well as attendance at all home and away games.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Therapy:
• Work closely with the team physicians to identify and treat injuries.
• Provide daily injury/illness progress reports to the General Manager and coaching staff.
• Ensure players receive treatment before and after games, as well as during practices.
• Perform any other relevant duties as required by the hockey club.
• Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to maintain a clean and optimal working environment at all times.
• Conduct physical and mental evaluations of each player upon joining the team.
• Conduct physical and mental evaluations of each player prior to departing the team.
• Develop and oversee training and rehabilitation programs.
• Assist with team meal planning when required.

Administration:
• Understand and adhere to budgets allocated for travel, medical equipment, and medications.
• Participate in the purchasing of medical equipment in collaboration with other members of the organization’s medical staff.
• Complete computerized inventory tracking at the beginning and end of the season.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be certified and in good standing with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA).
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Experience working in high-level hockey.
