Lions Release Defenseman Jérémy Michaud

The Trois-Rivières Lions (affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) announced Friday that they have released defenseman Jérémy Michaud.

A native of Victoriaville, Michaud joined the organization on February 23. He appeared in seven games with the team during the current season.

Prior to joining the Lions, he spent four seasons at Ontario Tech University in U SPORTS. He also played in the QMJHL with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the Victoriaville Tigres.

In 156 career junior games, the 24-year-old defenseman recorded 31 points. During his time in the QMJHL, the left-shot blueliner also won the President Cup in the 2020–2021 season.
