Operations Intern

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Operations and Events Manager, the Operations Intern actively contributes to the execution of Trois-Rivières Lions home games.

This internship provides hands-on experience in sports operations, event management, and fan experience within a fast-paced environment. The intern will be directly involved in the various stages of preparing, executing, and wrapping up the team’s games and events.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lions Games:

  • Assist with the smooth operational execution of home games.
  • Participate in the preparation, setup, and teardown of equipment and installations required for games.
  • Help coordinate activities and activations presented during intermissions and television timeouts.
  • Assist with raffles, contests, and other fan entertainment activities.
  • Help coordinate the teams responsible for cleaning and maintaining the ice during television timeouts.
  • Provide support for team store operations and merchandise sales to fans.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth and professional game-day experience

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

The ideal candidate:

  • Is currently studying in a related field, including administration, project management, recreation management and intervention, event management, or another relevant field.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills that support teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates excellent relationship-building skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Is customer-service oriented.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, attention to detail, and initiative.
  • Is able to manage unexpected situations and multiple priorities at once.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.

Attendance at all 36 home games is required. This position is unpaid and/or completed as part of an academic internship.
