Senior Sales Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Fan Services, the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, inspiring, and developing the internal sales team (season tickets, packages, and group sales). The successful candidate will oversee both sales strategy development and day-to-day performance while actively contributing to sales efforts.
More than a manager, this individual must be a motivating leader capable of building a strong team culture focused on results, pride, and achieving ambitious goals.
This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday. The Senior Sales Manager must also be available for all Trois-Rivières Lions home games, as well as team-related special events.
In addition to having a passion for hockey and a dynamic personality, the candidate must be motivated to play an integral role within a young and growing organization and embrace the responsibilities that come with working in a small business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, lead, and motivate the internal sales team to maximize individual and collective performance;
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies (season tickets, group sales, corporate packages, etc.);
- Monitor sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Actively participate in sales initiatives and new client development;
- Collaborate with Marketing and Operations departments to enhance the overall fan experience;
- Be present at all home games and selected special events to support sales initiatives and game-day operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in a relevant field;
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in team leadership or direct sales (sports, entertainment, or related industries);
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities;
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively toward shared objectives;
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments;
- Self-motivated, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment;
- Strong computer skills;
- Experience with ticketing systems considered an asset;
- Good understanding of digital platforms and environments;
- Experience in relationship marketing considered an asset;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities within tight deadlines;
- Flexible schedule with availability required for games and events;
- Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).
