Imposing Lions de Trois-Rivières forward Nicolas Larivière has come to terms with the team on a one-year contract extension. He becomes the fourth Quebec forward to re-sign with the Lions: Cedric Montminy, William Leblanc and Jonathan Joannette have also renewed their contracts with the team for the 2022-23 campaign.
Vice-president and general manager Marc-André Bergeron had stated during his end-of-season press conference that he intended to continue building a team that would be primarily composed of Québécois players. These latest signings validate that intention.
Larivière was a key contributor to the Lions’ success during the 2021-22 season with 11 goals and nine assists in 42 games played. The forward from Chesterville, Quebec stands six feet, four inches, and plays with a high intensity level: He dropped the gloves four times during the season, whether to defend his teammates or to light a spark under the team. He’s going to be a player to watch during the 2022-23 season.
Season tickets that start at $16.50 per game and further information on future signings are available at www.lions3r.com/EN
