The Lions return to Colisée Vidéotron ice this evening for the second game of their three-game series against the Norfolk Admirals. After Wednesday’s 2-1 loss, Trois-Rivières will certainly be looking for a bounce-back game and to add two points to their record. Reinforcements have arrived for the Lions: Newcomers Markuss Komuls and Zach Kaiser will be playing their first games in a Lions uniform. And Salaberry-de-Valleyfield native Étienne Montpetit will be backing up Joe Vrbetic in goal. Montpetit signed his first professional contract Thursday afternoon. We’re expecting an exciting game between two teams who know how to find the back of the net, as the Lions and Admirals have combined for 55 goals in their previous seven games.
Players to watch
Twenty-year-old Lions’ goaltender Joe Vrbetic has had an excellent debut season in the professional ranks, compiling a 13-11-0 record. He's registered two wins in his last three starts.
Admirals’ forward Eric Cooley has 7-18-25 totals in 35 games this season.
